Guest soloist with the ‘Dutch Youth Jazz Orchestra’
I am proud to announce that I have been invited to tour with the Dutch Youth Jazz Orchestra (NJJO) as a guest soloist. The other two soloists will be none other than fellow ‘Ensemble’-members Ben van Gelder and Maarten Hogenhuis.
The NJJO is a phenomenal big band, consisting of Holland’s most talented players under the age of 21. This year, the ludicrously cool Benjamin Herman is conductor and artistic director.
The tour’s premiere will take place at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam, on April 21st. We will then continue to perform at around ten more venues and festivals across the country, between April and August (dates can be found under Concerts soon). More info (in Dutch): www.njjo.nl.
