On December 19th in De Doelen in Rotterdam, my former colleagues of the New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra will serve as my little mignons in a show entirely dedicated to myself, Reinier Baas. The programme will consist largely of the music of Reinier Baas, arranged by Reinier Baas, featuring Reinier Baas on guitar. You’ll be able to buy my CD’s at the venue.
Some musics by the likes of Johan Plomp, Louk Boudesteijn and Morris Kliphuis will also be performed. The band also features Jan van Duikeren, Tini Thomsen, Bastiaan Woltjer, Bart Wirtz, Cyrille Oswald, Miguel Boelens, Rob van de Wouw, Mark Schilders and Clemens van der Feen. You can recognize them by their position at the far end of the stage, where there are no lights.
More importantly, I will wear a brand new outfit.
But enough about me. The More Socially Relevant Jazz Music Ensemble is opening the U Jazz Festival in RASA, Utrecht at 19:30 this Saturday (!). Furthermore, we are throwing a new years party at the incredibly famous Bimhuis. It will involve ourselves, Martijn Vink, Han Bennink, Lars Dietrich’s Flying Manga Circus, pyrotechniques, champagne, animals and controlled demolition. Bring your in-laws and your dancing shoes.
